Iraqis Caught Moving Weapons Materials
Lehrer News Hour ^ | 2 December 2002 | John Burns

Posted on 12/02/2002 4:20:37 PM PST by mrustow

According to John Burns of the New York Times, now reporting on the Lehrer News Hour, weapons inspectors have determined that weapons equipment had been moved from a site without any accounting, and amid Iraqi denials of having moved anything. The equipment was known to UN inspectors, because it had been recorded during earlier, mid-to-late 1990s inspections. The Iraqis were obliged to notify inspectors every six months of any changes in the placement of the equipment. Burns says that the exact equipment has not been released.

including, a version for the B-2

the B-2 version The GBU-37/B uses GPS guidance rather than laser guidance, making it an all weather device. It's more expensive and slightly less precise than the laser guided version.

Is that the one where the casing is made from an artillery tube?

That's the one.

Zero Tolerance

AH, YES .... ZERO TOLERANCE - A favorite phrase of the left .... except of course when dealing with terrorists, dictators, other leftists, leftist programs, etc. Generally reserved for use by leftists only against children (aspirin, nail files, kitchen knives, drawings, & games where the hand is used to form the shape of a gun) and most conservatives. 8-)

Why, when "the needs of the many, out weigh the needs of the few"? The team that Blix put together, along with Blix, touted the fact that they didn't want any U.S. representatives, cuz they were really "CIA or secret Special Forces". They would "disrupt" the job that they have set out to do! Ok, well then, let's roll! These inspections to me, were a ploy to by that butcher MORE time.

The article I saw a couple of weeks ago dealt with the explosive power of today's weapons not the tonnage.

Also, as you point out the smart planes, the smart bombs and the incrediblely well trained air crews without German or Japanese fighter planes trying to shoot them down will deliver absolutely awesome, accurate and hammering strikes. Iraq is not that big of a country, and we will hammer it from several directions from both sea base planes and land based planes.

GW made all of the diplomats irrelevant in his UN Speech in September.

They are all spouting and yakking and screaming as they know that GW is not listening to them.

Irrelevance to a diplomat or UN hiney kisser is the kiss of death.

Let's collaborate. "The Ride of the Valkeries" for the attack, followed very soon thereafter by the "Moonlight Sonata" with live scenes of a newly-tranquil(ized) Iraq.

And for the piece d resistance': selected Hungarian dances.......

I'd bet you the real reason the tenets of islam scorn dogs is that a good dog loves and obeys his master, and constitutes a real and direct threat to any grandee who decides to victimize said master. islam really does seem to be all about the creation of an "inverted T" shaped society, in which the masses form the powerless mudsill ruled by a direct linear power chain. Dogs are weapons, and thus do not fit comfortably into this form of power/social structure.
Any system with no room for dogs is automatically worthless in my book.

Good munition, that one.
I am a major fan of the Daisy Cutter, myself.
I wish I could find video footage of a real DC detonation, though so far I have come up dry.

The citation above didn't say you couldn't keep dogs for work, just that you shouldn't keep them inside the house, and that you should not eat them.

We have many Freepers who think it's best to keep the hounds outside on the backporch locked up in cages until they are required for hunting, and only a few regularly eat dogs.

If you really want to show your dislike of Arab Moslem attitudes toward dogs, I say you should bring your pack into the bedroom and have one for dinner!

A large dog in the house would demonstrate its loyalties to the probable discomfiture of grandees and abusive husbands. The Muslim attitude towards dogs is so far as I know as absolute as their aversion to pigs - no eating them, no touching them, to call a man one is fighting words, etc...
That is idiotic. But it should be used. Captured islamikazis should be executed by being torn apart by dogs and then fed to swine.
How's THAT for a clear statement of dislike?

Generally, my dog sleeps at my feet and my cat sleeps on them. I am glad the opposite arrangement is not true, since my cat weighs a mere 10 lbs, whereas my german shepherd weighs about 100 lbs.
I would not eat a dog unless I was starving. I would not eat a dog that was my friend even if I was starving, unless it was already dead.
