Dave S, You are correct in your thinking that a post should contain enough information that a reader knows what the hell you are talking about. I think when you did ask for more information, it wasn't the question you asked, but the words used in asking. It pissed him off. You were already pissed and the snowball is rolling. It could be laziness or he may have thought everyone would know what he was talking about.
