The term Progressive came from the very leftist Progressive party. The very leftist progressive party had some success in the upper midwest in the 1920s. It was very lefist and much favored all forms of socialism.

The progressives were absorbed into the Democratic party by Franklin Delano Roosevelt. One of old time progressives named Henry Wallace was selected as Roosevelts running mate in 1940. Roosevelt replaced him with Truman because Wallace's very socialist statements were costing Democrats support.

Democrats orginally used Liberal as a descriptive word so people would not call them Progressives. Progressive was negative word with many americans so Democrats called them selves Liberals instead.

Liberal has come to mean what Progressive once did they have gone back to using Progressive.

So, if her advantages are equal to hitlery's, does that mean both of them are the smartest woman in the world?

Neither one would agree to second place on the ticket. They'd both want to be president. Maybe they'll revive the "co-president" idea. Naw, still neither one would back off for the other. This would be the cat fight to end all if it ever comes to pass.

What is a "botox"? Sounds pretty nasty. Is it like anthrax, or leprosy? Leprocy Pellosi?

Despite Pelosi's groveling and clawing her way into the middle of the political road.......................

Huh?

Dateline D.C. is written by a Washington-based British journalist and political observer.

Oh! THAT explains it!

Thanks for the link. My wife, Karen is 52 and is still the love of my life. We live in NY. When the morons elected the Hildabeast, I swore we were moving. Now we are transitioning down to Lake James, NC. Bought two acres on the lake and ready to build retirement home. Cheers.

BTW,how do you signature with snoopy. I'm a Caroll Shelby AC Bristol Cobra nut, and would like to signature a photo of the car I built. This HTML is not real easy. I can send the photo(s) to you if you can spell out the HTML.

If Pelosi becomes a threat, I'm sure Hillary knows how to get rid of her body. I am only being partly facetious. Hillary will stop at nothing to get more power.

Being kinda new to Minnesota, a question. Were the Progressives in any way connected with the Farmer-Labor Party, which merged with the Democrats to form the DFL up here? I thought at one time Hubert Humphrey ran the extreme left out of the DFL, however, they're baaaaaaack.
