A slight correction please. Jehovah God did not give anything specifically to Jews. There were no Jews then and would not be for more than a thousand years.
But he did give to the "Israelites". The words Israelite and Jew are not interchangeable.
The word Israeli refers to members of todays Republic of Israel, including Arabs and others, and has no other historic connotation.
Whatever you call them in actual fact they are the holders to the title deed of the land. Not being Jewish I defer to your previous explanation as supposed fact. It is also possible the ancients go back as many as even 5 or 6 thousand years furthur nailing down the true owners and eliminating any pretenders or charlatans who make un-warranted claims to the land. All in all this will be interesting to follow and learn from, so keep it coming!
