President Bush finds himself in a rare disagreement with conservatives in his party over his efforts to portray Islam as a peaceful religion that is not responsible for anti-American terrorism.
In a score of speeches since the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, the president has called for tolerance of Muslims, describing Islam as "a faith based upon peace and love and compassion" and a religion committed to "morality and learning and tolerance."

Yes, I'm perfectly aware that Nazis and Muslims feel the same way about Jews that I feel about Nazis and Muslims. I think you're one of those "it's not what you say, it's how you say it" types who thinks we can only attain the moral authority to win this battle if we "fight nicer" than they do. This tells me that you actually have no faith in the superiority of what we are fighting FOR.

to be un-biased, which is why I always make certain to read and understand every side of an issue.
I agree, and try to do that myself. Its pretty hard to see it all with my own ears, and eyes. Sense I live in a very rural area I would never be able to form an opinuion. One source I don't have to check out is the Bible. Just so I make sure its in there since many people want to add to, and take from.

A subject I know too much about since a few generations of my family were deceived by this man.

Maybe you should let Mr Gonzoles know of this special treatment for Muslims. He doesn't seem to see what we see. see #254

Huh? I have specifically been calling for a war against terrorists and not against Islam just as the president is rightly pursuing.

Just received a copy of the article from the San Ramon's Valley Herald's archives. I'll post it to you tonight and point out a few things.
No word from the school board yet.

"Recently, I caught on the news that Muslim leaders in this country are making requests that rooms be set aside in public schools for muslim prayer as they pray many times a day. I for one called my congressman and senators, and demanded that christian, hebrew, hindu, and buddist be offered rooms as well."The actual request was for Muslim students to be allowed off campus to observe their prayer rituals, the school did not want to let them go, so instead, they made an unused room available to them, and any other religious organization who wished to use it.
Christians do not observe a strict scheduled prayer tradition like muslims. This, BTW, was no "special treatment".
To: Delphinium
BTW, do Christian kids get Passover and Chanukah off from school like Jewish kids do?
