President Bush finds himself in a rare disagreement with conservatives in his party over his efforts to portray Islam as a peaceful religion that is not responsible for anti-American terrorism.

In a score of speeches since the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks, the president has called for tolerance of Muslims, describing Islam as "a faith based upon peace and love and compassion" and a religion committed to "morality and learning and tolerance."

then why don't the US Muslims do like the Japanese-Americans of WWII did, and form a combat unit like the 442d, and go fight the terrorists with a like ferocity. (Note: the 442 sustained a casualty rate far in excess of 100% while kicking the Germans' asses.)

Instead, I see our President hosting Ramadan gatherings in the White House, and American Muslims whining about how most Americans 'aren't nice' to them. They should be out making it clear that they adamantly OPPOSE al-Qaeda!

Don't get me wrong, I for one do not hate Muslims, or believe they should be persecuted. I believe they should be treated as fairly as anyone else in this country. I just don't believe they should have special treatment like what has been going on sense 911. Its the religion of Islam that scares me.And I can say confidently that it was inspired by satan. I pray for those in bondage to it .When I have had the opportunity to speak to Muslims I see how dedicated to their faith they are. Knowing more about that faith scares me. I realize that to really believe in that faith, they must not have a honest love for the freedom our nation stands for, and where is their heart when we are at war with Muslims. Some my son has worked with justified 911, while claiming to be peaceful.
I pray for anyone in bondage to any religion, even some of those calling themselves Christian. Usually these religions are led by some narcissistic whacked out man who adds to, or takes away from the scriptures.(gets further revelation, etc..) I believe Christ died to set us free. He only is the author, and finisher of that freedom. There has been many horrible things done in the name of the Christian religion, but that doesn't mean it’s the real Christian church.

Put another way, surrender and convert to Islam or be beaten, raped, tortured, beaten, and raped, over and over, then they will kill you slowly. All non-Muslims are viewed as non-persons. This is a spirtual world. To the Muslim, you have no existence at all, exist only in a dream, therefor, you may beaten, raped, or murdered at their will.

Arabs are famous for torturing Christians and Jews to death with 'the thousand cuts of Allah,' Meaning they enjoy slowly skinning their victims alive. Finally, at the end, after hours of torture, they cut off your private parts and insert them into the victim's mouth.

Islamics believe they are being much more gentle when they blow you up quickly with a suicide bomb.

First of all... the "leaders" have been doing exactly that for 1400 years uninterrupted (except when they have been stomped).
And their original "leader" lived his entire life putting the lie to the "religion of peace" bit.

I am HOPING that Bush is only taking his current position so as to not inflame the whole Muslim world at once. That way we can pick them off one by one. However, we WILL have to destroy them sooner or later, or they will destroy us.
