Liberals don't care about the consequences of their actions, they just want to make themselves feel good with what appears to them at the time to be something that's good in their eyes. That's why they don't have any accountability for their actions. It also allows funds to continue into that bureaucracy and even become larger because liberals believe that putting more money into anything will solve it's problem. Basic economics is at work here:
what you subsidize, you will get more of, whether it's peanuts, subway ridership, or government assaults on the family.
The problem wouldn't entirely disappear if the federal funding were removed, but it would diminish considerably. And just exactly what Constitutional authority does Washington have in this area anyway?
