Absolutely! The only way I will bow to Mecca is if someone manipulates my dead body in that direction. And if I ever have to enter a mosque, it won't be for fellowship. Actions speak louder that words and I've seen enough.

Funny, really how they never expend energy on creating the political cover for stopping their jihadist brothers and sisters from slaughtering inosent people the world over, yet they find time to paint concerned citizens as bad people.
Dispite their best efforts, the onus should now, and in future, remain on todays islam which sufferes from the delusion that terrorism is an acceptable form of political speech.

Let them build it and then just burn it to the ground; then pour pig's blood into the grounds. Treat their worship halls like they treat ours.

Put yourself in this man's shoes: he loves cricket, voted for John Howard, admires Liberal Party* values, owns a computer hardware company, has a building application before a council and is a Muslim. On six out of seven counts, he is everyman.I count 6 items here, not 7. Is Deborah Cameron a product of California schools?

"...no Messiah in islam..."
here ya go""According to these authentic and universally accepted Hadith:
The Promised Messiah is none other than hazrat Isa bin Maryam(pbuh) (Jesus);
He is a man of medium height and moderate complexion inclined to the red and white colors and of lank hair;
He will descend among Muslims, near the White Eastern Minaret of Damascus, Syria, clad in two yellow sheets (dyed with saffron), while leaning on the shoulders of two angels;
He will pray behind Imam Mahdi;
He will fight with, chase, and kills Dajjal (the Anti-Christ) at the gate of Ludd;
Messiah will rule justly according to the Laws of Islam and not Gospel;
People of the Book will accept him as a Messenger of Allah(SWT) and will embrace Islam (Quran 4:159); subsequently, Cross (Christianity) and Jizyah tax (on non-Muslims) will be abolished;
He will encounter attack of Gog and Magog and will be victorious;
Islam and justice will rule, oppression will be eliminated, and no fighting (War) will be needed (will be abolished);
Everyone will be well off and hatred, jealousy, and grudge will disappear;
Messiah will perform Hajj and..."

I stand corrected, but unswayed. I used to be very blissfully ignorant of Islam, and I'm only sorry that that has to change. I evidently need to learn more about this religion, as well as my own Christian Faith and Judaism.
However, Islam's instrusion into my life hasn't been a happy one; nor has it or its adherents ever done anything to make me think it is a good thing in any way. The only thought I used to have about Islam was confusion about how so many African-American women would voluntarily convert to such a woman surpressing belief system.
Thank you for straightening me out on the Messiah issue, I apologize for the error.

No apology necessary. These fanatics are trying to bring on the end.

"These fanatics are trying to bring on the end."
I'm afraid I agree. Hopefully, as with all others who have tried, like Brain the mouse, to TAKE OVER THE WORLD, the only end they'll bring about is their own.

I'm afraid I don't quite get the point of your post. School vouchers, partial privatization of Social Security, Tax cuts, Faith-based initiatives...all of these are Republican ideas. The people who want to retain the status quo are so called "liberals".

I still don't get your point. Are you saying I am correct by pointing out the new precedent Republicans are setting? I guess you have a point, though I'd have to say that perhaps the religious leaders are setting a precedent themselves.

"I am particularly concerned that Cr Griffiths, as mayor and a lay preacher, would inflame the situation by suggesting the safety of 'girls and ladies' is at risk if a mosque is built," Senator Campbell said. Cr Griffith also reportedly told the meeting I guess he had his head up his ass over the last 5 years, as Australian women have suffered a horrific epidemic of Muslim gang rape. What an imbicile.

I was appalled to see Cardinal Law of Boston prostrating himself at a mosque for the Ramadan meal Cardinal Law is a piece of exrement. Catholics in Boston should tar and feather and then draw and quarter him. In other words go "Colonial" on his pedophilic arse.
