GOOD MORNING! TGIF!! I hope everyone's recuperated from the feasts of yesterday.
Good morning, afternoon, or evening troops, veterans, and allies! Thank You for all you do, or have done, to keep our country free. You're in my thoughts and prayers daily.
It's time for me to head to my bat cave for some much-needed shuteye but I whipped up a little breakfast first. Not too heavy, just a little something to start the day.

Today's FEEBLE attempt at humor:
A woman went to the doctor's office. where she was seen by
one of the new doctors, but after about 4 minutes in the
examination room, she burst out, screaming as she ran down
the hall.
An older doctor stopped her and asked what the problem was,
and she told him her story. After listening, he had her
sit down and relax in another room.
The older doctor marched down the hallway to the back where
the first doctor was and demanded, "What's the matter with you?
Mrs. Terry is 63 years old, she has four grown children and
seven grandchildren, and you told her she was pregnant?"
The new doctor continued to write on his clipboard and
without looking up said, "Does she still have the hiccups?

Mojo, Thank you for including my Dad's picture in your tribute yesterday. I do want to clear something up, though. My Dad, who served in the USAF for 24 years, including WWII, and Korea, and who taught Taiwanese pilots to fly US planes at the height of the Cold war, did not die in action.
I hope I have not posted anything to make you think that he did. My Dad had too much respect for his fallen friends to ever want to be misrepresented as one of them.
I have so few pictures of him because my parents, after more changes in address than they had years of marriage, and after 7 kids, had a very bitter divorce. Military families make all kinds of sacrifices, and unfortunately, the few who are able to hold it all together are more and more rare these days.
My dad died of cancer, in October of 1984.He was 56. He was pretty heavily medicated on the night he died. It suprised us all when in a very clear voice, he requested clearance from the tower, identified himself and took off, with a smile on his face for the pleasure of flying. And then he was gone.
I am proud of him and proud of his service. And I am grateful to the men and women who continue to serve and sacrifice in the great tradition of the military.
