For once, someone who speaks reasonably besides Ann. Thank you. And I do agree. Many are afraid. The parallels here are not too far off medeival Catholic treatment of Christian sects that spoke out against Catholicism. There was a level of fear among some who would not speak out - those that did were wiped out ruthlessly. I think the Muslims in this case just need the moral support from others to allow them to stand up and condemn it without fear of retalliation or the ability to defend themselves.
It isn't much different than the ideological war going on here between conservatives and liberals. Thank god only words are being exchanged here.

It will only get more difficult - I am sure some will go one way, some will go another. I cannot understand how someone living in the US could after all the acceptance we give them, turn against us and side with Orthodox Islam, but like I said, probably some will, if it comes to that.

The liberals are after the 2nd amendment, so that when they DO try to rob us of our freedoms there is nothing to fight back with. They will have all the guns and will not be afraid to use them to their own ends. (Hey, CLintoon who LOATHES the military wasn't afraid to bomb Sudan to cover and distract from his foibles back at home...)
