And just what do you plan to do with all the drugs and illegal aliens these trucks will bring with them?

You pose your question as if not one Mexican truck is currently allowed to cross the border.
Presently, hundreds of thousands of Mexican trucks cross the border annually, but they all stop at border free-trade zones where their goods are transferred to American vehicles. And please; we are talking about qualifying carriers, not coyotes, smugglers, or diamond tuck chevy vans.

And you pose your answer as if American truckers aren't going to be affected by this. By allowing Mexican drivers to travel freely throughout the country, companies won't have a need for independent American truckers any longer. This will mean a whole domestic industry being wiped out for cheaper labor.

What do you propose these truckers do, become computer programmers? Oh wait, they can't, the H1-B program is importing thousands of foreigners to do that as well so there's no need for Americans in that sector any longer either.

Silly me, and I thought the government was in power to serve American citizens.

How do you think the cocaine, marijuana, heroin and the rest are getting in? They've been having to unload at warehouses and then get them distributed later, this will be much more convenient and not many trucks are stopped or checked at the borders. End the War on Drugs ---it's definitely a farce with this move. We might as well save the money.
