Perhaps you could take a few minutes and explain to those of us who thought this was a free forum of conservative ideas what ideas and thoughts are allowed. What do you like and dislike? How long do we have to be logged on as members before we can post "controversial ideas" and how controversial can those ideas be? Do we need to pledge undying loyalty to GWB or to the republican party? Can we be libertarians or independents or must we be loyal to the republican party only?. Can we continue to post our thoughts only as long as they agree with whatever your political leanings are. Some of us really want to know what we can say on this forum. Please enlighten us.

Welcome. I see you've been with us for less than a month. You post in reply to an Admin Cartoon showing a creature asking: "What am I doing here?"

Always a good question. I think the answer is that if you're here to disrupt, you'll sadly find we're not much fun.

If you're here to have fun, you'll gladly find we're fun. Free Republic is like love. End the end, what you take is equal to what you make.

(Only when we say "what you make" we are referring to your salary! ;))

Count up the number of anti-Bush/GOP threads versus the pro Bush/GOP threads and then get back to us about how wrong you are.

Sorry, Jim decides that. It is his site.
What do you like and dislike?
I like sports. I like folk music and classic rock. I like Monty Python and I like Bugs Bunny. I like Edmund Burke. I like Barry Goldwater. I like slow, wet, deep kisses that last two weeks. I like the way Susan Sarandon used to look, I like Bull Durham, but I don't like Tim Robbins or Susan Sarandon. I really like the way Victoria Principal used to look. I like when socialists lose. I like when taxes go down. I like kids. I like skiing, and chinese noodles.

Again, your questions are best addressed to Jim Robinson. However, if by controversial you mean racist or bigoted or the like, the answer is several hundred years, barring a breakthrough of medical science.
Do we need to pledge undying loyalty to GWB or to the republican party?
No. Although if your main goal is the destruction of the Republicans you are likely to find this an inhospitable place.
Can we be libertarians or independents or must we be loyal to the republican party only?.
See above.
Can we continue to post our thoughts only as long as they agree with whatever your political leanings are.
My political leanings are irrelevant except as far as I can convince Jim. He sets the course and the rules.

Consider yourself enlightened. You must have made quite a number of contacts in your time here to know you speak for so many. I think you will find that most Freepers are pretty savvy and can see what the real deal is with most posters.

Happy Freeping!

PS- if you ask to be banned, we generally will say ok. And we will generally not mind when you sign back up. Just so long as you don't try to make it sound like you were banned 'just because' when you do come back. Speaking in general here.
