The Rats may take this and run with it. It would be for their own political advantage, but I'll still cheer them on. Rat Senators Schumer, Lieberman, and Graham have said more this weekend about Saudi Arabia that makes sense than everything we've heard from the administration in the last 14 months.

And think what their political advantage would be?? .. to try and stop the war with Iraq

I am sure those in charge have an idea of what is going on .. as I am just as sure the Dems will do anything they can to undermine this Administration for their own benefit

I agree that the Dems have a potential tool to use against the Bushes. The Bush family dealings with the movers and shakers in Saudi Arabia go back 40 years. Of course, being in the oil business, one has to deal with Saudi Arabia. It seems that the Bushes have built a special relation with Prince Bandar.

From last April's Saudi visit: On Tuesday President Bush's father had lunch with the Saudi foreign minister, Saud al-Faisal, and the kingdom's longtime ambassador to Washington, Prince Bandar bin Sultan. Their specific message could not be learned, but in the familial setting, where Barbara Bush was also the hostess for Princess Haifa, Prince Bandar's wife, the strong strategic and personal ties of the Persian Gulf war that characterized Saudi-American relations a decade ago was a message in itself.

Saudi to Warn Bush of Rupture Over Israel Policy

Prince Bandar was on the few outsiders invited to Barbara Bush's birthday party this year. We all have read of the numerous connections between Saudi authorities and Bush owned or directed companies like the Carlyle Group, Harken Oil, etc. We have read of George Bush Sr.'s visits to Saudi Arabia after leaving office. Neil Bush was in Saudi arabia earlier this year helping them get their PR machine cranking.

Neil Bush says Arab P.R. machine not as good as Israel's

I guess that I would like to see the President head this thing off by admiting that his family has deep ties to Saudi Arabia, good friends in the country, and that he will help them in every way to weed out terrorist cells within Saudi Arabia. My fear is that if he does not acknowledge the Bush family ties, the Democrats will use all of this to attack his overall goals.

In their twisted logic, Democrats will say that the Bushes are indirectly guilty of financing Saudi terrorists through their business dealings with Saudi Arabia. Just as Bandar's wife likely gave money innocently to a woman who then gave it to terrorists, the Democrats will try to show that Bush money changed hands through legitimate business deals but got passed through numerous hands until the terrorists had that cash in the end.
