In other words, four out of every 19 poeple you shot might easily have been Hungarians, Italians, Chechens, or something or other other than Germans, either recruited or conscripted into the nazi cause. There's a pretty good book that touches on this theme. It's called "The Forgotten Soldier" by Guy Sajer. He was a French conscript and just a boy really. He lived through some hellish moments on the Russian Front. It's a pretty good read and interesting in that the perspective is that of a soldier on the other side.
I'd recommend it for all you WWII buffs and even to those who are not.

Shortly after 9/11, it was discovered that
certain people had purchased unusually large numbers of "put options" (essentially bets that the stock will go down) in certain airlines, Boeing, insurance companies, and other industries that would be hit by 9/11, with these purchases occurring a few days before 9/11
There was a lot of talk about this for a few days, but then the story "went down the memory hole". It is my opinion that the activity was traced to people who could not be touched -- ie, that members of the Saudi Royal Family knew about it, and decided to cash in

Bear something in mind guys. WHEN we take Iraq we will have upwards of an armored Corps with long barrels. Look at the map, anyone bordering that country will then be looking down the barrels of OUR weapons from practically point blank range.
Saudi Arabia could be taken right after Iraq.

As usual your radar re the rats in the media and congress is right on track.
This past week, we have had a deluge of anti Saudi Stories from Slimes, Newsweak, USA Yesterday, and other left wing mediots and rats in congress.
They have known about the Saudi financial connections to al Qaeda and other Islamokazi organizations for over a decade. Why are they suddenly writing and printing these stories at this time?
The answer is that they are hoping to cause a derailment of support from the Saudis before we take Saddam out and then the Murdering Mullahs of Iran and the Murdering Syrians.
Also, maybe the Saudis have stopped spending advertising $'s with these phoney news outlets. Once the money disappears, the loyalty of the Rats disappears.
They will do anything to embarrass President Bush to tilt the table back to their side before the 2004 elections.

I know I am right about this. Not an hour ago Fox had Schumer on making a statement that the Saudis were getting a "free pass" from the Bush Administration.
Exactly as I thought. They are attacking, and in this case they are following the advice of The Possum, who yesterday on Fox said the Rats should attack from the right on the war. Next thing you know, Hillary will be on TV saying the Bush military budget is too low.

I would how many donations the Opecker Princes have given Schumer over the years?

Of course this will backfire into their faces like all the other dumping attempts they have made into the wind while facing the strong wind.
Whose to say that GW, your stealth president, hasn't leaked this Saudi Data to these rats, knowing that they would pick it up and run with it.
So a few months down the road after Iraq, Iran and Syria have been cleansed of Islamofascists/kazis, GW can then order the job to be finished in Saudi Arabia.
Then, what can the left wing NY Slimes and other left wing mediots say when they and their beloved Rat Senators have disclosing for months the treachery of the Saudis.

Thanks for the post MadIvan. I don't agree with the Bush admin's handling of the Saudis, but there was one part of the post that aggravated me.
Fifteen of the 19 hijackers on September 11 were Saudis, but the Bush administration, which relies on Saudi oil and hopes to use Saudi bases to launch a war against Saddam Hussein's regime in Iraq, has sought to play down Saudi Arabia's links to terrorism.
It sounds like the author is saying that the Bush admin is directly responsible for our reliance on Saudi oil, as if this same dependency didn't exist under Clinton, but only began under Bush.
Our country relies on Saudi oil mainly because of the environmentalist. I think it is time our nation decides to go after the oil in our own country. I am so tired of the liberals blaming the whole oil crises on SUVs and Republicans.
I wish Bush would use this as an opportunity to bring up the need for less dependency on foreign oil by extracting our own natural oil resources.

Although I do not trust the Saudis because there are too many Islamasists lurking in their midst, I do think this particular story is being ginned up by the democrats. Lautenberg was my clue. I gotta agree. I feel like something is "fishy" when I find myself agreeing with McCain and Lieberman.

Yes, and as I told Grampa Dave, Schumer was on the TV today pushing the line that the Saudis have been given a "free pass" by this administration. Sounds like a Rat plan to me!

I think in light of Osama's long standing hatred of the Saudi government, that we need to seriously consider whether Osama intentionally picked Saudi national's to hurt US - Saudi relationships.
Having said that, let's pick priorities. The House of Saud openly condemns terrorism, even if Saudi clerics say differently in private. Meanwhile Saddam openly brags about funding suicide bombers.
Let's nail Saddam first. Figure out a way to cut our the west's dependance on oil, which will cut the Saud's surplus funds. And then demand that they adopt basic human rights and freedoms and let us fund churches and stock their libraries the way they are doing to us.
Without the threat of Muslim mob rule, Christianity wins every time.

Re your # 1.
No...They are not our friends....They are run by a weak and conniving royal family that finds itself in danger from religious fanatics should they become friendly to the west.....So instead, they are complicit in funding terrorism.
Perhaps the US and England should just ignore the pathetic UN, invade and take them over, letting the "royals" each be given 72 virgins in this life, taking away any governing power and thus solve a major portion of the problem?
The only positive thing they do is vary oil producation to keep world supply relatively stable as other producers increase or decrease supply.
