According to witnesses, Landrieu looked over her shoulder and told Terrell, "This is your last campaign." Rush Limbaugh caused this threat!!

I love Louisiana politics! After football it is my favorite contact sport.

That wasn't even close to a catfight.
Just a couple of wenches with thin skins...

Hard to say it was a catfight since there's no evidence that Terrell took any catty shots at Landrieu.
I'd simply say that it's a good sign: a panicky Landrieu, drenched in flop sweat, lashes out in desperation as her opponent begins to pull away.

Landrieu sounds like a graduate of the Hillary Rodham Clinton School of Advanced Bitchery.

In the runoff, Landrieu has begun to strike back. In a new television ad, she says Terrell favors tax relief only for the wealthy. Ouch, now that hurt. Take that back < /sarcasm>. After the earthquake hit the RATs on 11/5, you'd think the RATs would have scripted some different plays, but I guess they're just going to use the same playbook.

BATON ROUGE -- An already-bitter U.S. Senate campaign got personal Saturday afternoon at the conclusion of a taped debate between Democrat Sen. Mary Landrieu and Republican state Elections Commissioner Suzanne Haik Terrell.
After a tense 30-minute segment finished taping at WDSU's studios in New Orleans, the two candidates were preparing to leave. According to witnesses, Landrieu looked over her shoulder and told Terrell, "This is your last campaign."
A stunned Terrell replied, "She threatened me."
No other words passed between the two New Orleans women, but moderator Alec Gifford said Landrieu appeared peeved.
"She just kind of stalked out of the studio," Gifford said.
A Landrieu spokesman, Rich Masters, said the comment wasn't a threat, but a prediction that after running such a negative campaign, Terrell would no longer be viable as a candidate in Louisiana.
A Terrell spokesman said Terrell was shocked at what happened and saw it as a sign of Landrieu's desperation.
The bad blood has been a long time coming. During the primary, the National Republican Senatorial Committee financed a bare-knuckled campaign against Landrieu, claiming she had turned her back on Louisiana.
In the runoff, Landrieu has begun to strike back. In a new television ad, she says Terrell favors tax relief only for the wealthy.
Gifford said the two barely looked at each other during the debate and that although the candidates shook hands, "It was very perfunctory."
The debate will air today at 10 a.m. and Thanksgiving Day at 4:30 p.m.

Landrieu's up there just lying away. Saying Terrell actually wants to raise taxes and she's the only one who'll go for tax cuts for those who need it.

The Dems are falling apart at the seems. Have to watch them, they get addicted to the federal credit cards and will do or say anything to keep it. Lots os dead voters in New Orleans, but not as many Pubs thats throughout the state. Somehow I think folks there trust Bush more than they do little tommy d.

Landrieu's attacking Bush.
She's going on how Bush has failed blacks, poor, working class people.

Bush has cut AIDS research which has hurt blacks in Africa the hardest.
She must have read the polls.

I rarely watch much of a debate because of all the weasle phrases most of them use but I watched this to the end. It was a lot of give and take. Terrell really pressed the time clock to the max.

I like Terrell's stinging suggestion that Landrieu might be able to "appropriate" some of her morning-after pill and needle exchange money to help pay for a new stadium in New Orleans! HAHAHA! Go Suzie!
