A day in the life of President Bush (photos): 11/23/02

President Bush ended his European trip today with speeches in Lithuania and Romania. Bush was greeted in both places with large crowds of people, including estimates in Romania of 50,000 plus. And in what can only be called an emotional and uplifting moment, the crowds in Romania were treated to a rainbow as the President spoke. Bush responded with 'God is smiling on us.' The First Couple arrived back in Washington late this evening. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

"Everyone take a good look at the following photo. These are non-Americans braving a cold rain to cheer for our President."

And waving American Flags. I did not see one Romanian flag in that picture (and not all that sure what a Romanian flag looks like).

Are you coming out of the closet ? LOL. Welcome "former" lurker. Bush buck here, rare but not alone. You are amongst your own kind here. Disruptors are far and few between, as we don't wait until sunrise to shoot them...

Boy, isn't that the truth. They skedaddle pretty quick. Ha!

Thanks for the Sunday dose, rintense. It's a nice way to end the weekend. My poor husband was watching Fox today and they showed clips of the Rumania speech. My husband asked me why the President was in Rumania. I said "To welcome them into NATO."

He said "RUMANIA is in NATO" That is a BIG DEAL! (Hubby is not a freeper.)

I then told him that also the Baltic nations and Bulgaria were also joining. He was stunned.

I told him he needs to watch the news more than The History Channel. HA!

I was a lurker for about a week 1/2, but when I would read the Dose and notice I was talking back to the computer, I realized it was time to become an official Bush Babe. It was the best thing I've ever done (not counting being a member of the Republican Party). We are the nicest people you will ever meet (and I say we because once you post you are now us) and the smartest! Welcome aboard, and as rintense says everday, "Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!" I know I have!

Thanks for the recent message of gratitude regarding veterans' status.

Invariably the President of the only remaining superpower on the planet is referred to, as the leader of the free world. The evidence is before us in tonight's images, as these human beings share in collectively saluting President Bush. One can easily conclude that their enthusiasm comes from a hope for a better world, and that they are counting on this person to be the catalyst.

Note to Tom Daschle: carbon monoxide is painless and (hint hint) readily available...

It was an incredible day for the President. He was greeted with more passion in Romania than he is in some cities in the States.

Just getting here so hope this thought isn't a repeat. But the reason these people have such a passion for our President is because he represents FREEDOM and that is something new to these people. I'ts funny that the countrys that have had a communist rule and now free respect and love our President. But those countries that have not experienced Communist rule take to the streets and protest at the drop of a hat.

Many thanks for the beautiful pictures of the president and his travels. I watched the speeches he made in Romania and Lithuania and I am sooooo impressed and proud of the president. As I have gotten busy in my life (especially with Thanksgiving around the corner and needing to clean house) I have not been up to par with all that is going on. Thanks for letting us see that which we would never see in regular tv news.

The talk shows today were kind of bashing Bush b/c of the Saudi princess money donation to the wife of one of the 9/11 hijackers. Lieberman is such a weenie and with that voice of his made his talking down about Bush and his relationship with the Saudis sound so " I am ready for the elections, and it is time to start bashing" What's his name on Face the Nation did not really let him get away with bashing and kept coming up with some positives.

Anyway, ya'll are like a family reunion--nice to have like minds and see beautiful pictures. On Meet the Press, Tim Russert interviewed Bob Woodward and they spoke of the president's christianity and his belief that he is here to help bring peace and improve the plight of the oppressed people and to render humanitarian help to those people. From what I have read and heard Woodward seems to like the president. My mother in law remember his past books and so is not that convinced of Woodward's motives. So nice to have her here for the holidays as she is sooooo pro Bush and sooooo wanting to discuss politics. My hubby is totally happy with ESPN. HEHEHE

I believe that if a world-wide election was held to elect a president of earth and the candidates were current presidents and leaders of nations across the globe, our own George W Bush would win hands down. I think that says a lot about a person and the type of leader they are when they are so readily welcomed and embraced by citizens of foreign countries. "Dubya for president of the world!!" He's got my vote. ;O)

You know that's a good (valid) and interesting point. Plus, it's nice to see and hear from people of several nations that aren't bashing our -W-.

-W- cuts to the chase, puts it on the line, makes the rounds, and then gets his butt back home.

And with a home run every time!

He's got one helluva pitch, too. Remember WS 2001 Yankees vs Diamondbacks? It was a perfect strike. And I'm glad that we've got Dubya pitchin for our team.
