I recall an article a few weeks ago titled, "Professors who hate America." I printed a bazillion copies of it and posted it on various professor's hate-America bulletin boards at the University of Cincinnati. I just had my limit of walking past their anti-American propaganda. They were promptly taken down the next day
I think I'll print this one up and post it as well.

First of all it is because of this type of human waste that more men have died since coming home from vietnam because they were called baby killers and told that they were the evil ones... THe men that went and fought most of the time with distinction and honor. Were treated terribley when they returned. I say this SOB better hope he never meets me in a dark alley cause i will give him a down right AS OLE Hank Jr says ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT.
Welcome home all vets of vietnam.

Kirstein's barely literate response got around by e-mail pretty quickly.
That's what struck me. Apparently they're just giving PhDs away to people who think correctly, without any regards to their ability to craft a coherent sentence. Did this guy get his doctorate by having over 25,000 postings on DU?

I graduated from college in 1968. To its shame, my class contains some of the most loathsome, criminal, anti-Americans in history. When they were my classmates, they were solidly in the bottom quarter of the class -- many "majoring" in "education" or "victims' studies" but rarely if ever actually going to class or studying. Instead, they burned the ROTC building on my campus and threw rocks at ROTC cadets. Now they are tenured radicals whose own bile has poisoned them and threatens everyone around them. I am enjoying immensely watching them writhe in today's America/world. Only when they are gone will America's colleges recover.

The problem is, the way the tenure system works, they are bringing in yet another generation of America-haters to the universities. We need a strategy to break that stranglehold.

Simple solution, really. All federal funding should be withdrawn forthwith from ANY school or university tolerating this foolishness.
They have the absolute right to freedom of speech. However, no such right to federal funding exists, particularly in wartime. I'm convinced even FDR would agree.
With freedom comes responsibility and accountability. The U.S. taxpayers whose income is garnished in part to support these institutions should NOT be forced to pay those who support their murderers.
Until such time as these skinwasters learn manners, the military will, I'm sure, find good use for the extra funding.

If academicians had to make moral stands, they wouldn't be elite anymore.

eniks of academia have lived to see the Evil Empire they half-defended fall,
He's giving them too much credit. They FULLY support communism in every form, and just turn a blind eye to the pile of bodies big enough to fill the crater at ground zero in NYC. Pitiful creaturs all, the bitter women with puppet lines that go from the corners of their mouths to either side of their chin parallel to the tacky dangling "I got them in Guatemala" earrings, the men bellied and bald but with a frazzled little gray ponytail curled up like a dead animal at their collars, all smirking and dismissive, affecting fake laughter to drown out any dissenting views... I wouldn't spit on them if they were on fire.

Do you still have that article, Professors who hate America?
To: pabianice
Your description of "loathesome, criminal anti-Americans" also depicts our most recent ex-president. He was of that era and, although he chose a path other than academia, no one is more to blame for the current malaise in higher education. He is attempting to "revise" his failed presidency, much like Kirstein puts a negative spin on the history of the country he hates

I dropped out of college about four years ago, and started going again last year. I've noticed a change in attitude students have towards professors since 9/11. Before, they more inclined to buy into the moral relativism and anti-Americanism the professors put forth. The anti-Western lectures used to spark animated discussion amongst the students, most of whom concluded that their eyes have now been opened to the hypocracy of America and American values. Nowadays, similar lectures are met with cold silence. Now the discussions seem to be about how the professor doesn't seem in touch with the real world.

Nice wings, Sir. What was your platform? Mine's ORIONs, Acoustic. Same here. P-3A DIFAR, P-3B TACNAVMOD. Flew the SP-2H in the reserves for several years, but since none of the gear worked and we usually came back early on fire or with some other problem, I count that as NATOPS time versus ASW.
To: pabianice
Cool. All my time's in Charlies, Update III mods, with a little in the new AIP aircraft. Have you seen the new MMA P-3 replacement proposal? It's a 737 modified for Multi-Mission capability.
They're telling us it should be online by 2015. Just when I'll be retiring.
