Haifa U is crawling with Tenured Traitors and Marxies like Illan Pappe. Steve Plaut is one of the few professors on the campus to the right of Meretz and that's largely because he's a lecturer in that "dismal science," economics. An appreciation for real world market goings-on is enough to make a conservative out of about just any one. With the singular exception of the American Paul Krugman, one is hard pressed to named a liberal economist. Needless to say, Steve is also a wonderful e-mail list maintainer AND a wonderful satirist on all things Israeli, Jewish, Leftist, and liberal, though decidedly not in any particular order.

As a Conservitive Protestant I have never understood Jewish liberalism or for that matter Liberal Catholics. This issue has me confused, the most conservitive people I know are Jews and Catholics as are the most liberal people I know,
