I think it has been beat to death by Darwininians that the word "proof" is inoperative in science. Therefore it is of no sense to discuss anything using proof. You see they hide behind the fact it is not possible to obtain a proof of the relationship between "bones" separated by millions of years. However, that does not stop them from expecting proof from others.

That is the problem, isn't it? Both sides reach a point of faith - one in a hypothesis and the other in theology.
