Do you see how Angels are 'extra-terrestrials'? The dimensional barrier we face doesn't allow us to 'see' them, yet they appear to be very aware of us. In this age of science and scientific explanations, it would seem that we are more poised to handle the possible near future connections with extra-terrestrial life, as in accepting their existence (aliens, I mean, as opposed to or in conjunction with Angels). Perhaps the ships of our past are not so distant from their ships in our present. [It's a play on words as offered by one of the characters in my novel, Tree Of Life (the characters do their own speaking without my conscious input when the story is flowing); I just tossed it in for the fun of it, because the 'creative' impulse may not be all that alien to some 'extra-natural' or 'hyper-natural communication.]
