How do you expect to live comfortably and more or less at peace in a complex universe where the quality of "PROOF" one may prefer is rarely available--yet--realities of existence, daily choice and at some points--life and death choice REQUIRE one to make serious decisions on the bases of flawed evidence.

You must live in quite a pickle or ball of knots always waiting for perfect proof that never comes. No wonder this subject and discussion is so disconcerting to you.

Of course the Mj-12 documents are technically inauthentic: someone has typed them over using 1950-era paper, typewriters and styles of writing...etc. Therefore they are of no interest to collectors of old documents, and it would be pointless to frame them and think they will increase in value.

Whether this is the right name, and whether there were 12, or 13, members of the committee and whether this is the correct membership list cannot be the issue.

No one has seriously shown that the gist of what the documents allege is false. Many, many have come forward to show the truth of the essential shape of things, the inner committee judging what the public and the visible government can be allowed to know.

You people need to take your medication. I'm serious--stay on your meds!

Quix, may I remind you (for the third or fourth time) that YOU made the claims, and it's YOUR responsibility to prove them?

I came onto this thread looking for some intelligent commentary on the SciFi Roswell special. I was specifically looking for comment on the analysis of the Ramey memo contents. Instead, all I've read is tons of the most improbable theories (including citations of thoroughly discredited hoax documents!) from the UFO crowd: reptilian bases, alien abductions, and the like.

Why don't you folks join the Moon landing thread that's going on right now? Quix, I think you and Timestax would get along just fine--he doesn't believe we landed on the Moon.
