I agree. I believe Martin Luther King gave his life for the freedom he so wanted for the black race. Michael Jordon had the freedom to behave many ways and he chose this particular one. The woman in question, black or white had the same freedom and she chose this particular one.

Michael Jordon made a bad choice NOT by being with a white woman but by deceiving his wife. That's the bottom line folks. The woman also made a bad choice NOT by being with a black man but by having an affair with a MARRIED man and hurting another woman who is supposed to be her sister at heart no matter what their color.

Women are their own worst enemy. It's terrible how one woman can hurt another like that.

At any rate...the choice was Michael's and the woman's and now they pay the price for their infidelity. As for the black and white skin...that's a sad state of affairs and a sad reason to be upset at Michael Jordon or the woman as I am sure there are people out there bad mouthing her because she was with a black man.

It is time that kind of thinking come to a screeching halt. It only hurts the cause of freedom and race relations. It needs to stop on all sides. Period!

What's really comical and ironic (considering Mary Mitchell's comments) is that the Jive Dude's complaint in the movie is that his wife is cheating on him with a white man; then he comes to the conclusion that if she's putting it out there, some men will quite naturally go for it.

Seems that the wheel has turned full circle in about 20 years.

Joey: Wait a minute! I know you. You're Kareem Abdul-Jabar. You play basketball for the Los Angeles Lakers.

Roger Murdock: I'm sorry son, but you must have me confused with someone else. My name is Roger Murdock. I'm the co-pilot.

Joey: You are Kareem! I've seen you play. My dad's got season tickets.

Roger Murdock: I think you should go back to your seat now Joey. Right Clarence?

Captain Oveur: Nahhhhhh, he's not bothering anyone, let him stay here.

Murdock: But just remember, my name is ROGER MURDOCK. I'm Roger an airline pilot.

Joey: I think you're the greatest, but my dad says you don't work hard enough on defense. And he says that lots of times, you don't even run down court. And that you don't really try . . . except during the playoffs.

Roger Murdock: The hell I don't!! LISTEN KID! I've been hearing that crap ever since I was at UCLA. I'm out there busting my buns every night. Tell your old man to drag Walton and Lenier up and down the court for 48 minutes.

Little Boy: I thought you might like some coffee. [Sits beside a Little Girl who takes a cup]

Little Boy: Sugar?

Little Girl: No thanks, I take it black, like my men.

Another "AIRPLANE" great....

The punch line of the "jive" talk portion of that movie is when "shiiit" is translated in sub-title as "golly".

Funny movie!
