Ok, I'm probably going to get flamed for this but here goes: I'm an NRA member so don't think I'm some gun control wacko but I'm going to have to side with the school. Everyone knew the rules and he broke the rule. It doesn't matter whether it was by accident or on purpose. If the school lets him get away with it then thats not setting a proper example. Getting suspended for 5 days is not the end of his life, he'll learn to check his pockets next time. Any kind of hard strike on that primer can set it off too and get somebody hurt. I'll have to agree, the mothers comments seem to indicate she is a left winger and I'll bet his parents are divorced.

This nation was founded on "breaking the rules", (except for the really important ones, of course).

You do realize that ALL of us break the rules on a daily basis, simply because there are so many rules, and millions of us Americans relish breaking silly rules as often as possible?
