Too bad more schools aren't like the great one (only one, darn it) you mention - a school held accountable by the professionals who also happened to be parents! Wow, would my wife love THAT situation, where if she called a home telephone number to pass on either kudos or a breakdown in academic performance, she would get an answer, not a recording about the number not being in service! Cool! Also, your example about the few disruptive students in the physics class is REAL close to home here, too!
I lacked two physics courses for graduating with a double major, EE and physics - got Sigma Pi Sigma (physics honor society) anyway - sigh - so many years ago! Thought I might like to teach high school math and physics after retiring from the USAF but came to my senses and went with engineering - LOL!
Thanks for your time - it was an interesting exchange. Have a great thanksgiving!
1. Zero Tolerance: How about OUR ZERO TOLERANCE for failure to educate our children?
2.How about OUR ZERO TOLERANCE for morons being allowed to milk the PUBLIC TROUGH while their job performance is, in a word, "pathetic."
3.How about OUR ZERO TOLERANCE for these "government workers" attempting to teach our children ,not the meaningful basics of working toward a future, but of "HEATHER HAS TWO MOMMIES"?
GEEZZZZ.....
