Urban actually called Muslims "infidels."

Well, golly, gee whiz, that sure wasn't very nice of him.

Muslims kill 3000 in NYC and thousands more around the world.

Christians tell people about it.

Hence they are the same in the writer's eyes.

I read it and I'm highly offended that I, as a Christian, am put in the same light as Muslim terrorists.

Sorry.....doesn't fly with anyone, other than a die-hard liberal.

The article makes some good points; the headline is moronic. When's the last time you heard of a band of Christians hijacking airplanes and leveling skyscrapers? But columnists don't write their own headlines.

Saw this one coming. The article is so devoid of logic and reason that I don't even know where to begin.

One more time: Muslims had CONQUERED, by the sword, upwards of half of Spain (i.e. in EUROPE) before the evil, vile, insidious (note heavy sarcasm) drove them back.

Nothing like a good ol' white wash of history to start your day.

I fear what will happen in this country after the next terrorist attack.

So do I, but I don't think it's for the same reasons that this bed-wetter does...

If our country is torn apart by religious hatred it will be guys like this leading the way.

He reveals his real motives here:

But these people also run huge organizations that rely on contributions. They need a high profile. They don't do that by humbly engaging in quiet good deeds. They exploit turmoil. Fear and loathing is a lucrative fund-raiser.

The left has targeted Falwell and Robertson (Franklin Graham is a new addition) because they believe that destroying these men will lead to liberal triumph. (Notice who they're always defending: gays, feminists, etc..) They are going for what they see as the money and base of the enemy. Discredit conservative Christians (or at least shut them up), as they see it, and the Republican party is over.

THAT is all this is about.

ANCIENT HISTORY while the bloodlust Jihads of Islam go on today as they have ever since Mohammed raided his first caravan and killed his first "infidel".

Hey numnutz, the Crusades are ancient history. Are we paying reparations for the sins of the Catholic Church? Why are you lumping the catholic church of the middle ages in with modern day evangelical churches?

The fact is: Islam = terrorism. And this is true to this very day.

Pope Urban II used love of Jesus and hatred of Muslims to motivate his troops at the beginning of the Crusades. Urban actually called Muslims "infidels."
He, GASP!!!!, called them WHAT???? Infidels? How dare he!

Someone e-mail this writer an online link to a dictionary. Of course a Catholic would call a muslim an infidel, just as a muslim would call a Catholic:

in·fi·del P Pronunciation Key ( n f -d l, -d l )

1. An unbeliever with respect to a particular religion, especially Christianity or Islam.
2. One who has no religious beliefs.
3. One who doubts or rejects a particular doctrine, system, or principle.
This is silly. It is the very definition of the word. Urban might just as well have called them muslims, its not any more insulting. I seriously hope the rest of the article got better than the excerpted portion.

Nope.

And so we have Pat Robertson saying, "Adolf Hitler was bad, but what the Muslims want to do to the Jews is worse."
Ummmmm. Yes, they want to kill all of them. I’m not a fan of Robertson, but is he terribly wrong?
If you are a Christian, pull up the "God Hates Fags" Web site put out by the Westboro Baptist Church of Topeka, Kan. and see if it reflects your beliefs.
Yes, posting a website is the same as flying planes into buildings, bombing discos, taking hostages, ritually mutilating women, and executing pregnant women for having sex. This guy needs more than a dictionary.

I am so tired of hearing this distorted nonsense about the crusades. The crusades were a political response to Muslim arrogance; nothing more, nothing less. This is quite simply a feeble attempt by Mr. Thomas to justify Muslim aggression and hatred.
Furthermore, although I don't have the numbers in hand at this point in time, I believe that there were just as many Christians killed during the Crusades as there were Muslims.
The crusades are just one of many Historical examples which illustrate the absolute folly of men appointing themselves to be spokesmen for God.
