No, No, No, Dick is right so it means it won't happen.
Dang, whatever he says the opposite happens and now he says this - it's not good news !
To: kattracks
When is Dick ever right? He was so far off in the last election, it was not even funny. Dick is wrong here. Gore is running left and has the full support of grass-root Democrats and will win the nomination.
To: kattracks
His ridiculous efforts on Larry King to explain his positions with quotes like,"If you go after Jesse James, you form a posse first."
Did not help any. He will bw viewed for what he is, a shallow, self centered daddy's boy who will not make a ripple in the continuum!

Bush's many environmental sins What would these be?
Drilling in ANWR....uh no we're not doing that, restoring the arsnic levels to the same levels as the Clinton/Gore administration, not signing the same Kyoto Treaty as Clinton/Gore didn't sign?
To: Crossbow Eel
Yea but Dick is smart now and this is the double dip reverse ....Dick is right but wrong and then again right (maybe wrong) ....not sure, but Al is toast

At least 1/3 of American voters are hard-core socialists, nominating and electing fascists. Democrats have become the party of criminally corrupt socialists, after the '90's, there can be no doubt where the Clintonazis are willing to take us, disarmed.
To: kattracks
Methinks Gore ran left ahead of the elections because the Dems were imploding. He figured that the chastened 'rats would coalese around the remaining true believers, the hard Left. So Gore can now claim he was there first and holds the "high moral ground" (whatever that is). Political SOP.
More interesting is the cat fight between Gore and Hell-R-me over the 2004 nomination.

If Hillary was smart, she would wait til 2008. But Hillary is an egomanic who already looks bored in her role as a Senator, so who knows. I think it really depends if Hillary thinks Bush is vulnerable in 2004 and if she can bear being a Senator in the minority party.
To: kattracks
Ha, I saw the thread title and thought Hillary had contacted Lindsey.
To: Always Right
GORE: I'd definitely consider Hillary as my VP in 2004.
HRC SPIN: We'll let Gore run in 2004 if Bush is a lock.
To: kattracks
subjects on which he is highly credible like the environment, the economy, health care for seniorsI do not think Mr Gore has too much credibility on the economy. As for his enviormental record, he has all kinds of credibility with the Left, but very little with the moderates or conservatives--making it a liability to talk about too much.
To: kattracks
feat of political mismanagement which only his reliance on his daughter for political guidance can excuse Karenna, the Hillary wanna-be co-president. GAG!

"Did Gore forget his elevation to the vice presidency by Clinton in 1992 was a direct consequence of his foresight and courage in being one of the few Democrats to back military action against Saddam Hussein in 2001?"
Tryng to recall, this vote wasn't all about "courage and foresight" was it?

if she can bear being a Senator in the minority party.I'm not sure she can she bear not being Queen of all creation, but I do think she will hold back until 2008 unless something happens to make Bush vunerable.
To: John W
No, it was about Gore selling his vote for face time.
He said he would go with whichever side allowed him to speak the longest.
To: kattracks
I would also suggest that Gore decided that he would gain more face time now by opposing the ongoing conflict with Iraq. Do you think that Gore would have received ten percent of media attention if he supported Bush?

Right you are.
To: kattracks
This is bad news. I prefer Gore as the Democrat nominee. As goes the District of Columbia, so goes what? Bush would have a shot at carrying Massachusetts and Minnesota in a Gore race. Perhaps Gore could carry Rhode Island to top Alf Landon's or Walter Mondale's electoral college tally. Then again, maybe not.
