I think you missed the point behind that staged photo. It wasn't to make him seem sexy,it was to make him seem like a loving family man.

The "loving family man" issue has never been a problem, or the focus of his daughter's image-making though. It's just a convenient excuse here to get the real propaganda through. The big kiss with Tipper for instance, and the cover of Rolling Stone wasn't to make him seem loving, it was to make him seem lovely to women. Those atttempts both backfired too. His daughter is desperate to create an Alpha Male image for him where the ladies her age swoon and faint. She thinks if just we could see how he's as sexy as Bill Clinton, we would all vote for him -- but she can't actually use models draped on his lap and and kissing him. Here the family is simply being used as willing stand-ins. Tipper is practically anonymous in this photo, and many don't know his younger daughter.
