Teh US nurtured teh Mujehadeen, not the Taliban, which was a pure creation of the Pakistani ISI. Frankly, Carter and Reagan both gave the PAkistanis too much leeway and Bush completely pulled out of Afghanistan. Frankly, we should have been more hands on.
