Lebanon is now occupied by the Syrians, the Palestinians, the Saudis (Hariri is the head of the Lebanese Government and he takes his orders from Saudi Arabia as he is Saudi) and the Iranians (Hezbollah). Similar to Afghanistan, Lebanon was thrown to the wolves after the Marines left with their tail tucked between their legs after the suicide bombings against the Marine barracks.

In fact, suicide bombing became popular after this initial success. I remember that the Democrats in Congress forced on Reagan and the Marines a "you can't shoot first" edict right before they were slaughtered.

Unlike Afghanistan, there is no "Northern Alliance"-type of resistance as nobody wanted to help the Lebanese to defend themselves while the Syrians and their minions were bombarding civilians.

Now the world is paying the price for appeasing evil.
