Liberal journalists are saying he will run against Bush in 04 as a RAT or Independent. If he does, we need to wipe him off the face of the earth with our votes.

He still maintains that he will run again. If he loses the GOP primary, he'll merely run as an independent and still win. The Dems never run anybody against him-- it's pointless; so the Republican nominee will be his challenger. There are plenty of Democrats and independents that will re-elect him.
