It's always good to be "home", regardless of how much you like other places. I want to say again how much we appreciate all the work you did for Jay. I'll be watching with interest your own future. God bless you.

Good morning, dutchess. I thought the same thing about Uncle John! "Hoot", "Cantankerous", "Spunky"! A character at any rate!
Still didn't finish the doggies - hope to have them ready in a day or so though! (I also owe you mail)

Hi you two. Jack had a heart attack last Thursday. From my point of view it was a bad one (not breathing). By God's grace and provision of a cop just around the corner, he pulled through with less damage than it might have been. He's not a candidate for by-pass because the arteries involved are too small. His heart is enlarged, so he will have to be on meds and a heart rehab program, weight loss, etc. And yes, he has the same independent spirit that his uncle has. Makes it a bit difficult to make him behave. (g)

I am so excited about the Christmas pet project. I am going to try to get a photo off to you of our first beloved pet. He was a beagle named Jasper and he loved Christmas cauz he got his very own stocking. And, honest, he knew it was his..Every Christmas a.m. he would pick it up first thing and head for the door with it...was not about to share. We have cute photos which I hope will scan out okay...Thanks for the drawing of Roscoe. It helped me recall some very pleasant Christmas memories of Jasper.

"Thanksgiving in Key West...hmm...that sounds interesting..."
Actually it is still pretty family focused. We bought a timeshare there about five years ago and have always traded the time for other places. This time we're actually staying AT OUR PLACE DURING OUR WEEK. It's right on the ocean facing the sunset.
We fly to Orlando Saturday and are picking up my parents who will spend the week with us. Also, Mr. D's brother and sister in law are cruising that week and just happen to port in Key West Thanksgiving Day so we plan on having a Thanksgiving spread on the beach.
My holiday stress time is three weeks later when all the family from three states come to our place for a Christmas celebration. (so Thanksgiving is the calm before the storm!)
billie. Still looking foward to seeing your cute pupettes!

Key West!! Have a great time, dutchess! I've used library computers for FReeping, and it's not so bad...just remember to log off of FR when you're done FReeping.
Billie - excellent idea about the upcoming threads....Will see and think about what I could contribute, technologically challenged that I am here....
Thank you for all you do!
WVNan- Excellent news! Both of you, take care of yourselves.

Forgive me!! I do recall this happening. As soon as you reminded me of the circumstances. In fact, I prayed for Jack!!! (They say the mind goes first.. arghhhh)
Giving thanks and praise the God allowed for a "warning". Now he can be medically treated, and do the cardio therapy, meds, etc. I know your gonna have him around for a LONG TIME!!!
That had to be so scary!!! (((((WVNan)))))
From the sounds of his Uncle.. he's gonna be just fine, a chip off the proverbial block!! :o)
Let us know if there is ever anything else we can do. Prayers just sent again!! God Bless, Vets

Hi Billie. Since everyone is talking about Uncle John I'm going to tell this one one him.
Jack, wanting to bring Uncle up to date on all the latest conveniences, told him he needed to get a debit card. "What's that?" Uncle asked. It's a card that you can use to get your money out of the bank any time you want it, day or night. He took Uncle to the bank to demonstrate using his own card.
Jack went through the whole routine. Card in, pin #, transaction, money. Uncle watched all that and asked, "Who's in there to give you that money?" Jack said, "Nobody's in there, Uncle, the machine gives you that money. "How does that machine know it's you?" Then Jack went through the whole explanation again, to which Uncles allowed, "Humph, ain't no wonder there's so many folks outa work." Uncle never did get a debit card.

Good morning to all you songbirds.
Your holiday schedule sounds good to me...profile 'greatest hits' is a right fine idea...re-runs are way cool, and they're still fresh as yesterday's flowers.
Even Santa has to cut back on his freeping as the runup to the Holydaze draws nigh.
I look forward to your Thanksgiving spread...gonna be a grand day...)
WVNan, I was really pleased to read the note from your husband and to know he's outta the woods, and that his Uncle John is back home where he wishes to be. This news brings me a smile this morning...a big Atta-girl to ya, and Atta-boys to both those men you love.

LOL! A big head indeed! He knows who rules our household. NEVER EVER have we had a dog like this one! Maybe because he just showed up and chose us to belong to; I only know that he captured our hearts from the first minute he looked up and wagged that stubby little tail. We were goners.

If you could see Uncle you would smile even bigger. Jack and I were sitting at the breakfast table belly laughing because we know exactly how Uncle is and how he talks. He clips his words off and talks fast. We could just imagine him in the MRI machine threatining to take it apart. He would too. Not too long ago he went to feel his cows and his wife thought she should go with him just in case. Somehow she got in amongst the cows and one of them bumped her and broke her arm. Uncle wasn't very sympathetic. He said, "That cow didn't mean to do that." His wife just rolled her eyes.

God created marriage, for he knew we'd need a friend
To share our hopes and dreams with, and love us 'till the end.
God created marriage, to teach us how to share.
All our earthly assets, and make us more aware.
That someone else's feelings, are more important than our own.
And not one of us is perfect, so we can't cast a stone.
God created marriage, to teach us to forgive.
His life was our example, He showed us how to give.
God created marriage, to teach us how to say,
"I LOVE YOU" to another person, each and every day.
