Would someone PLEASE give me an example of a modern-day "genuine civil-rights issue"?
The only ones I can think of involve stifling of conservative voices on college campuses, and the prevalence of black-on-white "hate crime."

Add to that similarly biased employment quotas and work environments, then I could claim victimhood based on years of economic and psychologically inflicted scars.
Just tell me when I can let out my breath and contact the local Commission office for them to take my 14th Amendment based legal claims and file suit for someone melanin-challenged like me.
