MESSAGE FROM THE HEADMASTER Sunday, 17 November -- 1700 All JIS campuses will remain closed on Monday 18 November and Tuesday 19 November. The Emergency Phone Chain will be activated tonight to this effect and a recorded message placed on the JIS switchboard. A decision as to whether to reopen on Wednesday will be made on Tuesday evening and conveyed to parents as quickly as possible thereafter. Central to that decision will be the response of the Government of Indonesia to embassy requests for a higher security presence at the various international schools in Jakarta. A meeting today of the American and British ambassadors and the Australian charge d'affaires resulted in a decision to request the Jakarta police chief to upgrade security provisions at all campuses. The security officers at each embassy will be presenting specific plans they wish to see implemented. The embassies will also approach the military and request assistance in case the police are unable to provide the required level of assistance. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we try to understand the ramifications of the possible threats to schools registered by the embassies. JIS administrators are in regular contact with embassy and private security staff members and the advice they give us is central to the decisions we take. And if they retaliate, we take out Medina. If they retaliate for that, we destroy their holy sites one by one - turn the mosque in Jerusalem into a synogogue.

For those of you who think that nuking mecca is a good idea, what exactly do you think that would do? Do you think that the islamic zealots would be more or less likely to try and destroy the US if their holy land was destroyed? Do you think that the rest of the arab world would be more or less likely to sponser terrorism on a global scale or possibly even declare all out war? Look at it this way, if someone nuked DC or any US city for that matter, would we turn around and run with our tail between our legs? I think not. If Iraq attacks israel with WMD, id say nuke baghdad to hell. If saudi arabia did the same, id say the same. If Islam itself, ie the entire arab world declared war on the US, then nuke each and everyone of them. But in reality, by a pre-emptive strike on mecca we would be signing our own death warrant.
