That 18K means nothing, he got a lot of liberal votes and a lot of conservatives either didn't vote or voted third party simply becuause he is such a watered down candidate. I'm still waiting to see what a real conservative candidate, running under the GOP banner, could do here.

There are endless angles a conservative could run and pick up the Oregon Dem. For instance, conservation backed by science disguised as environmentalism. Still conservative, yet has emotional appeal.
