The message HAS to be sent to the remainder of those who serve - the knowledge that they will be begging for scraps out in the street if they do these things.
Dontcha just love how these murderers distance themselves from their actions, even while supposedly accepting responsibility? "My involvement in the horrifying murder..." You also frequently hear, "I was on drugs when the crime occurred..." You almost never hear, "I killed her", "I stabbed her", "I bludgeoned her", "I murdered her", "I took her life". No, it's always "my involvement in the murder", "I was holding the gun when it went off", "I was in the wrong place at the wrong time."
I don't know if I blame him or his attorney for capitalizing on the priest scandal to his advantage, to deflect attention away from his own actions, but I hope no one takes the bait.
