Then again its just like liberals to steal through bribes and crass political hijinks what they can't win at the ballot box.

BUMP. This is something that the "Bush stole the 2000 election" crowd (even here on FR) can't get through their thick skulls.

They see the NJ Supreme Court appoint a new Rat candidate over the will of the voters in the NJ Rat primary (Lautenberg was not even a candidate in the primary) - Who voted for him?

What deals went on behind the scenes to turn Jeffords?

The Rats seek power by any means necessary. They have to be pulled kicking and screaming like a small child to get them to leave office any more.

Independent presidential campaign

Thank you for spelling "independent" right. I almost never see it that way anymore.

Today we need a law that would put enormous pressure on someone who would jump parties. There is no honor among liberal idealogues and don't think that nut-ball McCain is thinking rationally. There should be a run off election in the very least when elected boobs jump!

McCain-Feingold slate?
Local leaders want 2004 reform ticket

A group of small business leaders and pro-consumer organizations from the D.C. area are launching an effort to draft Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and his partner in campaign finance reform, Sen. Russ Feingold (D-Wis.), as third party candidates in the next presidential election. (McCain has repeatedly said he isn’t interested in switching parties or challenging President Bush.)

“Basically what we’ve been talking about is continuing the momentum from the McCain-Feingold campaign finance reform efforts,” said Dan Berninger, the head of a mid-sized telecommunications firm in Annapolis, Md., who is spearheading the effort.

“The two of them created a following and that following could be leveraged for a presidential campaign,” he said. Their strategy: setting up a website where supporters would commit to voting for McCain and Feingold. By collecting early commitments, the group could establish McCain as a viable third party candidate without first raising tens of millions of dollars, as is usually required.

Just a silly pipe dream from that liberal scumbag Broder.
Chafee won't switch in a million years because his lifelong Republican daddy is watching him from heaven.

And McCain won't switch because Arizona, the Republican Party, and President Bush would go after him like he was a purse snatcher who just knocked down somebody's mother - - it would be political suicide and he knows it.

Finally, the only way either would switch parties is if they both switched parties simultaneously. Neither would jump ship to the loser minority party alone. I cannot imagine that the two of them would collude or have such a deal brokered by the scumbags. Too much sneakiness and duplicity there - - it would be a transparent and brazen stealing of political power by the scumbags and the public would see it for what it was. So the Democrats will not risk trying. If they were to be exposed and the ruse ultimately failed, they would need a power-wash to get the egg off their faces. And even if they pulled it off, the public would hammer them for it.

So I know I'm not worried about it. Because it won't happen. Broder has finally lost his mind.

The author of the bio on McCain, Paul Alexander from Rolling Stone, is on the radio every night suggesting that McCain is going to switch. Perhaps it's just a coordinated effort to create buzz about the new McCain book, but I find it most distressing and not fair to those in the military who don't want to see the President undermined over personal pique.

Political suicide.

Jeffords switched (after a back room meeting I think) and the Dems had a coast to coast rally overnight.

The torch makes his move this cycle and they (dems) have a dark plan already in place.

Wellstone dies in a plane crash, and behind the scenes Bill/Hill, Al/Tipper, and the entire food chain show up for a so called memorial that turns into a display that peg's the disgusting meter to the pin. I think the disgusting Wellstone memorial display , and the NJ story were the watershed events for republicans this cycle.. People are beginning to see through all the choreographed BS.

The image of a sneaky senator doing another behind the scenes move would be politically perilous IMHO..

regards
