>>>Go to PA school, go overseas to med school and take the test on reentry. The fact is, it's expensive to educate a doctor here or anywhere.<<<
So why exacerbate barriers to entry like the AMA uniquely does, so that only the rich (and usually patient-detesting) candidates get to become doctors? Overseas, folks generally go into medicine for the love of medicine, not of money. And I reiterate what you conveniently ignore: medicine's an UNDERgraduate degree in most countries. Who said anything about abolishing medical licensing?
Only the rich get to be doctors? Here's another option for you, one that many, many use...join the service and go to med school. I know several who avoided debt that way. And if you want to practice medicine without an MD, and get a single undergrad degree, become a PA. They are very well-paid and valuable to medical practices. Many, too, use a PA as a springboard into med school--especially the young ones.
Whining and self-pity ain't gonna get you much. And this "conspiracy of rich exclusive doctors" is just so much excuse making. If you want badly to be an MD or DO, there's a way.
