Our interests diverge in some repects, but we have a common interest in dealing with Islamic terrorism. Putin may be a hard-ass and may be attempting to justify his military actions, but in this case I believe he is correct and is probably even underestimating the strength of numbers, proportion of Muslims involved, and determination of their intent.
