Not only did we go metric, we make up an non-existant metric system to fit the DC boneheads regulations!

Back in the peanut days of billybeer and 24% mortgage rates, hand tool manufacturers were the only ones makin money!

If Carter had his way, we'd be on the whitworth scale.

I think Carter ate too much radiation back in his Nuclear Sub days and his brain mutated.

>>Back in the peanut days of billybeer and 24% mortgage rates,

Ah, yes I remember the housemates in college covering the coffee table in BillyBeer empties. I also remember buying our first house in 12/83. Ronnie had of course been in office for 3 years, was doing all he could, but rates were still at around *13%* for a 30-year-fixed-rate mortgage. Try wrapping your amortization spreadsheets around that, any of you youngsters.

Normally, I am quite proud to say I am a Georgia Tech grad. Right now, Jimmy is all over the cover of the alumni magazine that just came in the mail. I wanted to hurl when I saw it. I guess one can generally understand a university wanting to play up an association with a former President, but I wish thay'd taken a pass.
