November 16, 2002 -- The new FBI terror alert won't change anything in the city - we're already "at a higher level of alert than the rest of the country," Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said yesterday.

And a major focus of the NYPD's attention is the possible use of car or truck bombs by al Qaeda operatives and their sympathizers, sources said.

this has been my greatest fear, i find myself scoping out every truck or van that makes me uncomfortable. i'm afraid this will be the next method of terror, israelis have been living with this horror for decades.

Oh BIG APPLE on alert...I saw the headline and though Apple computer...thought some deranged mac user was mad that OS 9 was being discontinued and made threats.
