Missing Adult, HELP NEEDED (crime in progress?) [SC]

This is an urgent plea for help from Prairie Lady; these are her posts: [copied]

I JUST got off the phone with my neice. It seems my sister (her mother) is missing since yesterday between 3pm and 4:40pm yesterday from the SouthCarolina area.

She headed north as far as we can track, but then nothing. This is TOTALLY uncharacteristic of her.

We need to know if she is on her own willingly making decisions, or if she has been abducted and is in need of help. Is there anybody from that area that can help?

ok, she spoke to hubbie from home via phone about 3 pm yesterday afternoon. She left home at that time saying she was headed for her local walmart near Aynor South Carolina..I don't know the exact town...maybe conroe or something? She never made it to walmart. Survaliance tapes show she never went in there. She withdrew some money from the bank locally. She put gas in her car at the north carolina / south carolina state line (cherry creek). She withdrew a BUNCH of money in Raliegh Durham North Carolina. She spoke to her daughter at 4:30 saying she was going christmas shopping and that she would be late. But she never made it home.

If she had any inclinations to leave home, she never indicated it, and she would NOT be heading NORTH!!

She is 5'7 inches tall, LONG legs, 150 lbs, has very short medium brown hair. lots of freckels, hazel eyes. Driving a Dark Blue BMW 4 door with a mini antennea on the driver's side on the post between the door and the windshield, licence plate # 845HLG

My brother in law is former military police. He made a call to the police and is tracking bank usage which is showing itself to be very abnormal such as numerous attempts to use the various cards but rejects due to wrong pin numbers. He's requested survalance tapes from the banks as well. She was supposed to go to walmart, but walmart survaliance tapes show she never made it there. So, hes compiling stuff to show that something IS very wrong.

Also, she talked to her daughter AFTER one of the cash drafts and said someting weird to her daughter...like I love you...and she NEVER says that to THAT daughter.

(Evansville, Indiana-AP) Nov. 20, 2002 - The FBI says the suspect in the abduction of a South Carolina woman has been captured in Elkhart County, Indiana. Police had been looking for Chadrick E. Fulks, 25, in the abduction of Alice Louise Donovan Galivants Ferry.

Ohio State Troopers pursued a car Tuesday at speeds of up to 130 miles an hour after finding the driver sleeping in it at a rest area. The driver got away, but the FBI has confirmed the driver was Fulks, of Lewisburg, Kentucky. They also confirmed the car was Donovan's.

Officials say Fulks was captured around 11:00am CST near Goshen, Indiana following a bank robbery attempt. He had a female passenger, but the woman was not Donovan, and the car was not her dark blue BMW. He was being held at Elkhart County Jail in Goshen, about 30 miles east of South Bend.

Authorities hope Fulks' capture, along with the Sunday capture of a man authorities say escaped with Fulks, can help lead them to a woman the two allegedly abducted.

There is still no sign of Donovan, who police say the two kidnapped from a Wal-Mart parking lot in Conway on November 14th. Authorities have been searching by helicopter and on the ground in areas of North and South Carolina where the men were believed to have been for any sign of Donovan. Police said her ATM card had been used near Raleigh, N.C., late Thursday and Friday.

Brunswick County, North Carolina, Sheriff Ronald Hewett says the two men were with Donovan seen at a gas station at the town of Shallotte the same day Donovan was kidnapped. The men were seen later that night near the town of Bolivia and later back in South Carolina, but without the woman.

More than 100 people and several aircraft have been searching between Wilmington and Shallotte since Sunday when authorities were told the men had been in the county. The sheriff says he is hopeful the kidnap victim can be found alive. Hewett wouldn't disclose any evidence that led to the search.

Authorities in Ashland, Kentucky, arrested Branden Basham, 21, of Hopkins County, Kentucky, Sunday night after an attempted carjacking of two women in the parking lot of a turned into a shootout with police.

Captain Robert Ratliff says Basham initially gave police a false name, "We really didn't believe that the suspect was who he said he was. The information that he had given us, personal information and history just didn't add up. It wasn't until yesterday evening that we were able to confirm his identity through fingerprints."

Fingerprints confirmed Basham's identity Monday. Basham was being held in lieu of $2 million bail on charges of attempted robbery, criminal attempt to commit murder on an officer and fleeing or eluding a police officer. Without elaborating, Kentucky police said Basham's arrest yielded "a lot of leads" in the search for Donovan.

Collins says Donovan's abduction, apparently caught on surveillance video, occurred 45 minutes after the men allegedly shot at a Myrtle Beach man who tried to stop them from robbing his son's home.

The escaped inmates also are suspects in the abduction of a Kentucky man as well as a burglary here and numerous car thefts, police said. "These guys have been hopscotching around the country in different stolen vehicles," said Horry County police Detective Todd Cox.

FBI agent Ron Ryniak said Wednesday that investigators also were looking into a possible connection between Fulks and a bank robbery a few days ago in Middlebury, not far from where he was arrested.

Basham and Fulks suspected of abducting James Hawkins, 42, of Hanson, Kentucky., taking him 40 miles north to Indiana and leaving him bound to a tree, authorities said. Hawkins struggled for hours before freeing himself and summoning help. He had bruises and scrapes on his wrists and legs, but was otherwise unhurt.

"He literally wrestled with the cord and tape for 14 hours," Vanderbilt County, Indiana., sheriff's Major. Tom Wallis said. "He kept moving to keep warm." Hawkins' truck was found in northern Indiana.

The two escaped the Hopkins County Jail on November 4th. Basham was serving a five-year sentence for writing a bad check. He had broken out of the same jail in February but was quickly caught, authorities said. Fulks was awaiting trial on robbery charges.
