I did a search but didn't find this posted yet.
Thank heavens Tom Daschle is on the case.

Is this Osama's doctor that we have been reading about the last few days?

One of the top two-dozen al Qaeda leaders sought by the United States in its war on terrorism was captured recently and is in American custody, U.S. government sources said on Friday. Yep, but the Dems claim we aren't making progress. Two Al Queda bigs so far this month, one captured and one splattered by a remote-control airplane, the thought of which tightened a thousand Al Queda sphincters around the globe.

Thank heavens Tom Daschle is on the case. Isn't it amazing how uniformly bad his timing is?
What is this...the fourth (or fifth) time he's opened his mouth about the war and had the US military put his foot in it for him?

No, Dr. Aziz was arrested back in October.
We don't yet know how high up this guy is the hierarchy, but here are a couple of names to watch for if it's a big catch:
- Saif al-Adel (the top military commander)
- Abu Musab Zarqawi (the operations chief and Abu Zubaydah's successor)
- Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri (Persian Gulf operations C-in-C)
- Midhat Mursi (the WMD guy)
- Amin al-Haq (bin Laden's security chief)
- Sheikh Saiid (top financial officer)

...one splattered by a remote-control airplane, the thought of which tightened a thousand Al Queda sphincters around the globe. You bet it did! LOL
I'm sure they've got the ACLU on the case already. I can hear them whining already, "Where's the due process????"

One of the top two-dozen al Qaeda leaders sought by the United States in its war on terrorism was captured recently and is in American custody, U.S. government sources said on Friday. Okay, let's assume that al Qaeda is planning a spectacular series of simultaneous worldwide attacks.
And let's assume that this captured al Qaeda leader knows a fair number of details of these attacks, but isn't talking.
Is turning him over to some third-party people who will torture him to get information on the plans appropriate?
This is where all the goody-two-shoes mentality of the liberals runs into a brick wall. Can you imagine the outcry from Tom Daschle if such attacks occur and we had in our custody someone who knew the details but wasn't talking? Can you imagine the outcry from Tom Daschle if a bunch of attacks are averted but some al Qaeda leader was tortured to reveal details?
Either way Daschle will whine.

Forgot to add some others I just remembered:
- Rifa Ahmed Taha (C-in-C of the Egyptian Islamic Jihad)
- Tawfiq Attash Khallad (South Asian operations chief)
- Abu Mohammed al-Masri (East African operations chief)
- Mohammed Abdel Rahman (military commander)

lol
It's gotten so bad that whenever he opens his mouth on the subject, I start looking for a recent success to pop up in the news.

Wondering if this guy's capture could be part of the reason for reports of increased "chatter" ? Trying to regroup or re-arrange operations around the missing guy ?

President Bush (news - web sites) earlier this week, in response to a question about the audio tape, said, "We'll chase these people down one at a time. It doesn't matter how long it takes, we'll find them and bring them to justice."YA HEAR THAT HITLERY-CARVILLE-BEGALA-BILLY BOY-McAULIFFE-DASCHLE and the rest of you flying monkeys who visit our forum????????
We understand you are mentally ill. Overtaken with lust for power to the point that you would stoop to dispirit a nation and our hard working, at risk troops overseas, you know no bounds. You are willing to forsake our security and our will to win this long war on terror in order to gain political points by encouraging distrust in our commander and chief and our military.
Pretty sick. Reread what our President has said, continuously, and try to be Americans, for ONCE in your pathetic, commiestyle lives.

I dunno about any recent operations, but if they caught this guy in the last week, it may be the reason for the recent terror alert. It'll be interesting to see who it turns out to be.

Me too. In fact, I was expecting breaking news that Binny DNA had been found in Afghanistan!
