You're right. Homeland security will not be achieved with porous borders and lax enforcement of immigration laws. I'm all for the organization of local militias in each county (or parish) to aid local law enforcement in keeping an eye on any potential threat from terrorists or illegals. That's one way we can do our part in protecting our country.
