Maybe they're driving them to the local INS office.

You wouldn't think an illegal, Mexican day-laborer would be crazy enough to get in a pick-up truck with an American Patrol bumper sticker on it, would you? That is kind of funny.

The illegal alien driving it probably bought or stole it with that sticker already on it. It's good camouflage.

It's about time grass roots control of a locality actualized instead of relying on dc help that never comes.

Good point ---that could be it.

I know people who drink and drive who have MADD bumper stickers figuring they're less likely to be stopped and checked for DWI by the police when they're driving home at 2:30 am from the bars if they have those.

I do not think it wise to allow tens of millions of citizens from any nation to enter the US in a short period of time. The open borders folks think new laws that will allow all that wish to flood north to do so legally, will fix everything. It will not fix everything. Our infrastructure cannot handle tens of millions of people flooding northward. Assimilation, public services, water availability, highways, homes, communities, local state and federal government, elections and a host of other issues are tied up in this. Open borders is insanity.

Who is it that first coined the idea that tens of millions of Mexican citizens had a manifest right to come here? I'd like to know. Why do they have that right?

The government of Mexico needs to clean up it's act. It needs to spur corporations and small businesses to the degree that it's citizens will prosper on it's side of the border. We have no obligation whatsoever to fix Mexico. Mexico has that obligation.

We do have a responsibility to provide a nice home for our own citizens. With just three issues I can represent this issue easily.

Can Los Angeles Freeways where the average commute speed is now between 15 and 30 miles per hour, handle another five million drivers in three years? Can the LAUSD handle another 2 million students in three years, despite the fact that k-12 grade campuses now look like a mobil home park, due to the explosive student populations? Can Southern California which is already struggling to provide water to the folks who are here, handle an additional ten million residents in three years?

Those who suggest that open borders would solve all our problems, are ignorant beyond redemption on these issue.

Good call bud. It kindof puts to rest the aversion to having our military take care of the border too. Just because people are armed, it doesn't mean they are trigger happy. Armed means safe. At least it does to conservatives. Liberals are the ones who say armed is dangerous / a killer!

-it isn't something citizens should have to do and it is dangerous for both the citizens and illegals.

Tell President Bush that. He doesn't seem at all concerned. I thought we were a country of Laws.

DoughtyOne, as usual a very good post. The Border Patrol is hamstrung in it's desire to obey the laws of this land, as they are not allowed to. I get this first-hand from a Border Patrol agent friend. You are correct. It's all for show, and show for all, and nothing gets done.

Not unless the INS office is in a single-unit dwelling getting remodeled.

Would you happen to know what a sticker showing a hand with the thumb and forefinger making a capital "L" means if you're in the Phillippines? I do, but I was there at the time that was an issue.

That is kind of funny.

Yeah. About as funny as a screen door on a submarine. Forgive me if I don't take you folks seriously.

The illegal alien driving it probably bought or stole it with that sticker already on it. It's good camouflage.

I've heard the guy talking to the day laborers. He must be one of those illegal aliens jumping across the Arkansas-Oklahoma border.

Thanks for the comments. We had a lady the other night post that border agents in her area were told NOT to apprehend. Beats anything I've seen 'till now.

Tom Tancredo needs to challenge Bush in the Republican Primary.

The majority of Americans in both parties are against illegal immigration.

So, what's your proof that this low-life is a real member of the American Patrol?

The next thing you'll tell us is it was Glen Spencer.

I don't think Mexico can fix itself. It might be able to if it was told in no uncertain terms that it must. No uncertain terms mean we'd have to quit offering to take in every citizen they've decided they don't want, no peso bailouts, no more trade deals until they straighten up their act.

He could easily be a contractor who often hires illegals but uses the bumper sticker as a decoy to mislead INS agents or others who might become suspicious.

Nah, Poohbah says he followed the guy to an American Patrol meeting. He knew the secret handshake and everything.

Poohbah's pretty sure it was Glen Spencer, himself.

Can you believe it?

I believe that if the United States put together an economic team to help them, Mexico could double their GNP in less than ten years. I will admit I don't bass this on any inside informtion. I base it on the idea that there are many available cheap labor workers down there. Put them to work. Provide incentives. Get their system to fluorishing. It'll be better for them and US. It'll also spur activity in Central and South America. Open borders isn't the only way to achieve this. We didn't have open borders here to prosper. Other nations don't necessarily need it either.

The only ones dumb enough to be mislead by that are too dumb to get suspicious in the first place.
