And, ironically, it was ALWAYS the smoking cars on the commuter trains which would forever be barely occupied, while 80% of the rest of us riders were crammed shoulder-to-shoulder in the non-smoking cars of the trains, packed like sardines for the entire commuter ride to the City. This is a lie.
It is the mark of a meddler. They always, always lie. Incredibly, they'll pile on Al Gore for embellishing, or Dick Gephart talking about his billionaire friend not wanting a tax cut, but never make the connection to themselves. They are the enemy.

Little lies such as the one about the smoking cars being 80% empty just open the door for the big lies to waltz right in...and have you noticed that hot august night has not replied to me? I wonder why.
Perhaps Walter Williams was right when he wrote that column saying it might be "Time to Part Company," because I see the chasm between people who love liberty and those who insist on government nannyism getting bigger and bigger. I'm no longer sure that this chasm can even be bridged anymore.
