I believe in Liberty in the traditional Whig sense, not in the Jacobin sense. That's why Rightists such as myself clash so hard with Libertarians.The Whig's conception of liberty was based around the undemocratic concepts of aristocratic priviledge which were handed down from the feudal era and incompatible with the princples of democracy. John Locke handily refuted it on such grounds and the Whigs eventually lost power due to their erroneous and insufficient concept of liberty.
