(11-14) 08:42 PST WASHINGTON (AP) --
Secretary of State Colin Powell, responding to anti-Muslim remarks by conservative Christian leaders, said Thursday, "This kind of hatred must be rejected."
Powell, speaking to a gathering of businessmen at the State Department, echoed remarks on Wednesday by President Bush, who took issue with comments by Christian Coalition leader Pat Robertson and the Rev. Jerry Falwell.
Powell said, "We will reject the kinds of comments you have seen recently where people in this country say that Muslims are responsible for the killing of all Jews."
He added that this kind of language "must be spoken out against. We cannot allow this image to go forth of America, because it is an inaccurate image of America.
In a similar vein Bush said on Wednesday that some recent comments about Islam "do not reflect the sentiments of my government or the sentiments of most Americans."
Robertson, on his Christian Broadcasting Network, said Jews in the United States should "wake up, open their eyes and read what is being said about them."
"This is worse than the Nazis," Robertson said Monday. "Adolf Hitler was bad, but what the Muslims want to do to the Jews is worse."
Falwell, in a recent interview with CBS' "60 Minutes," said he had concluded from reading Muslim and non-Muslim writers that the Prophet Muhammad "was a violent man, a man of war." "I think Muhammad was a terrorist," the conservative Baptist minister said.

I disagree with Powell and I think Falwell & Robertson have hit the nail on the head. Now the P.C. police won't agree with it, but you have to be blind not to believe it, crank up some of the post WTC middle east reactions & you will see first hand how much our Muslim Brothers & Sisters love us. Yeah right, they hate us plain & simple. Nothing hard to figure out at all.

Islam = The Religion of Evil ("TROE")
We can soft-pedal this issue... but barbarians don't much prefer etiquette to mayhem.

Powell said, "We will reject the kinds of comments you have seen recently where people in this country say that Muslims are responsible for the killing of all Jews." you're right, Falwell and Robertson are exactly right...Powell's alittle confused. Nobody's killed all the Jews yet, but we know that the muslims would like to, we need only listen to what they're saying to know that.

Falwell and Robertson are prophets. They are speaking the truth, and Powell does not like the truth.

Hey Colin, you and your boss are out of touch with real America.

They are the obvious enemy to anyone with a half a brain & to anyone who is not worried about voicing their opinion without losing support or votes. I understand why Bush & Powell have to say it, but I hope that their smart enough not to believe it.

I think they understand completely, it's just P.C. politics being played out to cover their @ss.

Secretary Powell:
What Christian leader has called for the killing, enslavement, or disabling of all non-Christians? That is hatred. Speaking the truth does not constitute hatred. I hope you wake up to evidence of History, current events, the words of Islamic leaders when they are not lying to Western diplomats and media, and their Holy book itself. Examine the evidence, Mr. Secretary. It is long past time for this country to base its foreign policy on truth and justice; not on political correctness. If the Europeans, that we twice bailed out in the twentieth century, don't like it then leave them to reap what they sow.
Be good and live free

"Hate"... an emotional response... no we won't hate... but we must press the respective nations you named for an honest accounting of the threat that Islam's expansion poses for the rest of the civilized world.

I don't hate most Austrailians, Canadians or Japanese. Now Europeans is a totally different category all together. Most of us here realize that all Muslims aren't Terrorists, but they sure don't come out & criticize the actions of Terrorists carrying out murder in the name of Islam. If they did perhaps my attitude would be different.

Another example of political correctness at the highest level of American government. Lovely, ain't it? Limousine conservatives don't think that Muslim conquests and Muslim terror are going to affect them or their children in their ivory towers. Like Hitler in his bunker, they'll go down believing to the end in their ideology, ideology, in their case, of absolute tolerance and kindness to those who will kill them.

Most of us here realize that all Muslims aren't Terrorists, but........as you go on to say, muslims are silent about terrorism. Remember the 16 y-o saudi student attending a private school in NYC the week before 9/11, telling his teacher the reason he was staring out the window at the WTC is because it wouldn't be there long. The islamic community knew beforehand, and said nothing!
CLEARLY, silence is support and approval. CLEARLY, support and approval are paramount to actual perpetration of the act. CLEARLY, no islamic can be trusted by any "infidel" because, as Hussein Massawi, a former leader of Hezbollah stated, "We are fighting to eliminate you!!"
Hello, peace-and-love-nics, are you there? I guess the lights are on but nobody's home....

It is not Islam, most of whom are aghast at the acts of the terrorists, but a few godless anarchists forming groups of terrorist cells under the guise of Islam. The terrorists are not Islamic. They claim to be Islamic, which means that true Muslims cannot say anything about the muslimness of terrorists, but these non-Muslims operating in disguise can say anything they want. Aljazeera and Alqaida are not Islamic, in spite of what they say.

I once saw a Nazi film called "The Eternal Jew" at Brandeis University in Boston. It was the first time the film had been shown in public in America, and it was a vile and disgusting work of propaganda.
I have the same disgusted feeling when reading the online newpaper editorials from Egypt, Saudi, Jordan, Pakistan, and just about everywhere else in the Muslim world.
The Nazis had nothing up on the pathological insanity and venom that is pervasive within the "Religion Of Peace."
