the irony of the situation is if charged, reser may be able to subpena the video tapes of the bombing to use in his defense. this may be the only way to get them out?

Don't forget the video of the Oklahoma State Trooper who pulled McVeigh over shortly after the blast, with video of those in the pickup that also pulled over when McVeigh was stopped.

If they had set McVeigh up to be stopped by removing or tinkering with the licence plate on his car, they wouldn't have pulled over, just kept on going and filed their report. But it certainly looks like someone with access to the car- perhaps the one who delivered it to the drop-off point for him- made it easy for that car to be spotted and stopped so the *suspect* could be easily apprehended.

I remember reading that the Trooper who stopped McVeigh said that when he told Timmy he had no tag, that TM turned and looked at the back of the car. I've always wondered why, if he knew the tag was gone, he would turn and look.

Just me, but it's always stuck with me.
