I am not a medical doctor, but folks, this is what happens when we fool with cartilage too much. It is one of God's greatest creations. Once it is messed with too often, the cartilage can fail. As one medical professor said, "We know almost nothing about connective tissue."

Snorting coke can ruin the nose, put holes in it. Lots of ear piercings can do the same to ears.

My wife had extensive (necessary) nose surgery by genius surgeons at Mayo. However, for various reasons the surgery was threatened with an infection. This could have happened to her. She received rivers of antibiotics, reacted to that, got steroids, reacted to them. It was a mess. But the nose prevailed and we are glad.

Does Michael Jackson remind you of a Twilight Zone episode where greedy monsters eventually looked like the monsters they were? I think this is God's judgment on the predator.
