When did Marcy Kaptur get involved in this? I thought it was just Ford and Pelosi! Boy, you can't go away for 5 minutes without things changing!

...Republicans on Wednesday confirmed that Sen. Trent Lott will remain their leader...

Once again showing why they're called the Stupid Party.

"You could feel the electricity," at the meeting where the leaders were chosen."

Hope it was one of those Taser belts, strapped to Lots back and wired to a push button in the Oval Office

There will be times when I have to do things the Democrats won't like."

Humor me. Name 3. No, name 2. No, name me 1.

Uh, Never mind.

Great! This is wonderful! We needed a strong, committed Republican as majority leader in the Senate again. Oh, wait. Did you say Trent Lott was elected? Never mind. The man needs testicular replacement therapy.

That would make sense. Too much gleeful cheering from the GOP side and frightened bewilderment from moderate Dems for Pelosi to just waltz into the job, some Dems know that they have to put up a moderate alternative to her. Hopefully it is too little too late, but one wonders if a Becky Red Earth will be counting the Dem caucus 'secret ballots' tomorrow.

Isn't the title a typo? Isn't that supposed to be: "Latte re-elected Senate Majority Leader ....?" The term "Latte" means Pelosi ....... NOT!

In her dreams.

Without Bush in the White House telling Trent Lott what to do, Trent Lott would be just as bad for Republicans as Nancy Pelosi is for the Dems.
